Pastors Summit on Marriage
Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, joined hundreds of pastors at the Pastors' Summit on Marriage by Skype video conference. His greeting set the stage for the discussions that followed on the importance of the church leading efforts to defend marriage.
Pastor Chris Clark and Dr. Jim Garlow helped organized thousands of pastors in California during the campaign to pass Proposition 8. Pastor Clark joined in person, but Dr. Garlow could only come by conference call. Due to technical limitations, we are only able to bring you Pastor Clark's challenge.
Bishop Harry R. Jackson, Jr. is the founder and Chairman of the High Impact Leadership Coalition and Senior Pastor of Hope Community Church in the Washington, D.C. area. With an MBA from Harvard, Bishop Jackson serves as regional bishop in the Fellowship of International Churches. Bishop Jackson is a leading researcher on the black church, hosts a daily radio commentary called "The Truth in Black and White," and is the author of several books, including Personal Faith, Public Policy that he co-authored with Tony Perkins.
Bishop Jackson was unable to be with us in person; however, he was able to make his presentation via Skype video conference.
Jordan Lorence is Senior Counsel to the Alliance Defense Fund. He has been involved in policy decisions and legal discussions about the impact same-sex "marriage" is having, and may have, upon religious liberty.
