CHARLESTON, W.Va., – On Wednesday, the Family Policy Council of West Virginia (FPCWV) announced an aggressive campaign to garner 2,500 signatures on a petition asking legislators to let the people vote on the definition of marriage.

CHARLESTON, W.Va., — A poll commissioned by the Family Policy Council of West Virginia last month, which surveyed 10,000 homes statewide, revealed that 78 percent of registered Democrat voters agree that marriage should be defined as one man and one woman. The poll results were released Tuesday.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A federal lawsuit seeking to void the federal Defense of Marriage Act threatens the definition of marriage in West Virginia and the validity of the West Virginia DOMA, according to the Family Policy Council of West Virginia. A federal lawsuit filed Tuesday by homosexual advocates in Massachusetts is the most recent attempt to circumvent the democratic process and further weaken the definition of marriage in West Virginia.
